Veteran, entrepreneur, innovator, business owner, family man, sports enthusiast and all-around Renaissance Man, Matt Michelsen has a talent for taking the unexpected and turning it into something great.
Since getting his start in the early 90’s, Matt has overseen the successful launch of multiple businesses and is currently a leader within the social media movement. In addition to working with an impressive list of celebrities, including Lady Gaga, 50 Cent and B.o.B, who line up for his help with digital media, his viral video view count is in the tens of millions.
Matt is ready to take on the new challenge of physically transforming himself from “Average Joe” to Ironman – and is starting the journey with a purpose. His initial interest in Ironman began in 2010 when his brother-in-law won a coveted slot to compete in Kona through the Ironman Lottery and participated in honor of his son who unexpectedly passed away earlier that year. Upon witnessing firsthand his brother-in-law cross the finish line, Matt was inspired to one day attempt the world’s most challenging endurance event himself.
Over the next six months audiences will get a window into the struggles, accomplishments, frustrations and successes associated with becoming an Ironman athlete. Through weekly videos and updates, Matt will invite people to not only witness, but also experience his real-time metamorphosis from start to finish.
